KEEPYOURFACERADICAL MARCH 2012 MIX

Again, I am a little late on getting the mix out. It is partly due to the cover art. I just couldn't come up with anything that felt right. This morning I was looking through photos on my phone and thought this weird picture of Prospect Park would look pretty cool. The picture is of the park but not taken in the park. At the 7th Ave. subway station on the F line near the park (my stop), at the midway point of the station there is this super weird picture of the park. It's a big image (6'x5') that looks like it was taken in the 60's or 70's. With all the color loss over the years it feels ulltra generic...but manages to capture a lot of history.

When I snapped a picture of the picture I got all this weird glare from the florescent lights, scratches on the plexiglass and other unexpected textures. I think its a great image that shows the clash of the urban environments with nature. I then overlayed some leaf pictures I took of the park last Fall. The type was treated in a way to make it feel like it was part of the glare. And so that's a quick story of the March 12 KYFR mix cover.
