INCREDIBLE YACHT CONTROL - Amateur Hypnotist

Incredible Yacht Control (props on a super cool band name) is a musical landfill for the perpetual unfinished half ideas from the attention deficit ridden mind of Bret Vogel. Live he has been clever enough to fool members of the Mint Chicks, Crosstide, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Sleepy Villain into joining his band. IYC will without a doubt take you on a weird wild ride. Imagine if David Bowie was the captain of the boat in Willy Wonka...mix in a dash of Deerhunter and Black Moth Super Rainbow and you might be getting close to the type of voyage you will experience.

ILLLS - "TEETH"

I went from posting about YALLS to now doing a post about ILLLS. Maybe the new trend for 2012 will be using excessive amounts of l's. I hope so. I like this song because there are not enough garage-psych rock bands out there and ILLLS are doing it with a bit more du-wop/pop vibe. Some of my other favorites include: Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Nurses. 

 

Can't wait to hear more from these guys.
