First off, why do all these Swedish bands sound like they speak better English than me? Or why don't I know any other languages? That's the real question. Well, the answer is: Because I'm American and I was busy eating cheeseburgers.
This song is great. It makes me want to live in a sepia music video where I'm in the passenger seat of a giant old Buick with the lead singer driving and singing and the rest of the band playing in the back. The drummer is obviously playing drums on the headrest in front of him. And we're driving through wheat fields. Definitely wheat fields.
The lyrics are sort of romantic agrarian lo fi pop. It has that 90's resurgence feel that's so big right now. And I'm into it. I want to take that ride in the wheat fields. If the band brings me Swedish chocolate. - Words by James
